Sadly it didn’t come home 

We were all saddened on Sunday to see the England team lose to Italy but what is even more saddening is the tirade of abuse that our young players have experienced since. Gareth Southgate knows better than anyone how this feels from his missed penalty many moons ago but the racial slure that has followed this too has upset us all as a nation. We here at Guys n Dolls applaud you all and we genuinely hope that UEFA and Social media platforms step in to prevent this happening again and to anyone else. It is not on.

We will not stand for any abuse here at Guys n Dolls. We welcome all walks of life, all skin colours, all hair colours, all genders, all non-genders, all ages and all religions. We stand proud with the England team in stating that ‘this must stop’.

Well done to Gareth Southgate and Kane’s army – You did us proud.

Bring on the World Cup. We didn’t say when it was coming home, we just said ‘It is coming home’.
